Adavale’s 383koz Parkes resource now faces its next big test

Adavale Resources has lifted its Parkes Project gold inventory to 383,300 ounces after completing an 85-hole drill programme and consolidating the London-Victoria to Calarie corridor. The gains come with only A$535,000 in quarter-end cash, although a A$4.65 million placement is now being deployed to fund drilling and a November Scoping Study.

  • Parkes gold inventory reaches 383,300oz across four deposits
  • London-Victoria resource more than doubles to 262,700oz
  • 85-hole drillout confirms mineralisation beyond the prior resource boundary
  • A$4.65m placement targets drilling, metallurgy and Scoping Study
  • Quarter-end cash falls to A$535,000, equal to 0.28 quarters of funding

Parkes Gold Inventory Reaches 383,300 Ounces

Adavale Resources Limited (ASX:ADD) has turned a 20-month exploration push into a 383,300-ounce gold inventory at its Parkes Gold-Copper Project in New South Wales, but the quarterly report also exposes the funding gap between resource growth and development. The inventory is a Mineral Resource estimate rather than a reserve or production forecast, and includes Indicated and Inferred material contained within a modelled USD$4,200-per-ounce open-pit optimisation shell.

London-Victoria remains the centrepiece, with 9.74 million tonnes at 0.84 grams per tonne gold for 262,700 ounces. That is more than double the previous 115,000-ounce estimate, while 126,200 ounces are now classified as Indicated, the first such classification reported for the project. Victoria South and Armstrongs add a combined 69,800 ounces, while the Calarie deposit contributes a further 50,800 ounces at 1.83 grams per tonne. The updated resource was covered in the September Parkes resource update, which reported the same 383,300-ounce inventory after the drilling campaign.

Drilling Extends London-Victoria Beyond Existing Resource

The result rests on 85 holes, comprising 82 reverse-circulation holes and three diamond holes, none of which had been included in the earlier 115,000-ounce estimate. Assays included 19 metres at 4.00 grams per tonne from 148 metres in hole ALRC076, including a one-metre interval at 52.6 grams per tonne, alongside broad intercepts such as 31 metres at 1.29 grams per tonne from ALRC070 below the historical pit floor.

Adavale says the drilling demonstrated growth beyond the former resource footprint, continuity across about 700 metres of the 1.5-kilometre open-pit strike and grade continuity at depth. Mineralisation remains open at depth, down plunge, along strike and in parallel zones. The completed 85-hole London-Victoria drillout had earlier been presented as the dataset underpinning the resource update, but the current report still offers no production decision or project economics.

Funding Rebuilds the Balance Sheet for the Next Test

Adavale completed the Calarie acquisition during the quarter and now controls 11 exploration licences and one mining licence across roughly 610 square kilometres and 70 kilometres of contiguous strike along the Parkes Thrust. It also identified six near-mine prospects from historic drilling, including Drapers with 11 metres at 4.94 grams per tonne and Nibblers Hill with 9 metres at 4.90 grams per tonne. At Ashes, surface sampling returned up to 9.2 grams per tonne gold, 4.5 grams per tonne silver and 660 parts per million copper.

The immediate financial constraint is stark. Adavale spent A$1.244 million on exploration and evaluation during the quarter, including A$633,000 on drilling and assays, while operating cash outflow reached A$1.887 million. Cash fell from A$1.945 million to A$535,000, leaving an estimated 0.28 quarters of funding on the company’s reported pre-placement calculation.

That calculation is already being overtaken by the A$4.65 million placement announced after quarter end at A$0.03 a share. The first tranche, worth about A$2.74 million, was completed on 29 October, while the balance and director participation remain subject to shareholder approval. The raising was the subject of the A$4.65 million Parkes placement, with proceeds earmarked for resource drilling, Ashes exploration, metallurgical work and completion of the Scoping Study.

Scoping Study Becomes the Next Value Test

The London-Victoria Scoping Study is expected in November 2026. Until then, the project remains at the resource-definition and pre-development stage: no substantive mining or production activity occurred during the quarter, and the report does not disclose capital costs, operating costs, recovery assumptions or an economic outcome. Adavale is also progressing the proposed sale of its Marree Embayment uranium portfolio, although that transaction remained conditional at 30 September.

The next filings will need to show whether the larger resource can be translated into a credible development pathway, how the new capital is allocated and whether the second placement tranche receives approval. The company has assembled the inventory and the land position; the harder question is what portion of those ounces can ultimately support an economic operation.

Bottom Line?

The resource milestone is substantial, but the November Scoping Study and completion of the second placement tranche now carry more weight than another headline drill intercept.

Questions in the middle?

  • Can the London-Victoria resource support an economic open-pit development once mining, processing and capital assumptions are disclosed?
  • Will shareholders approve the second placement tranche and director participation without materially changing the funding plan?
  • How much of the open mineralisation and near-mine pipeline can be converted into Indicated resources through the next drilling phase?
