DeSoto Resources has assembled about 1,300 square kilometres of gold tenure in Guinea’s Siguiri Basin, but the expansion came with a A$15.0 million FY2026 loss and a A$6.35 million write-off of Northern Territory exploration assets. The company enters FY2027 with drilling, geophysics and tenure renewals still to convert its large portfolio into a defined resource.

GBM Resources has returned a broad 101-metre gold intersection at 2.63g/t from Lone Sister, with higher-grade intervals pointing to potential local grade uplift at Twin Hills. A further 8,400 metres of assays remain pending before the planned December-quarter resource update.

Avira Resources is remobilising its RC rig to resume a 4,500-metre drilling program at Mt Cattlin, with first-pass holes planned at the historically high-grade Sirdar and Ellendale prospects. Broken Hill Gold has completed the transfer of its North Queensland exploration portfolio to Manda Resources, setting up a separate vehicle for the assets and a potential in-specie share distribution to BH6 holders. North Stawell Minerals has extended a steep west-dipping gold-bearing structure at Darlington with a 0.5-metre intercept, though the latest grade is well below nearby high-grade results. The company says the trend remains open at depth and along strike, with further drilling needed to test its potential scale.

Argent Minerals has reported its first laboratory assays from Trunkey Creek, with narrow but high-grade gold intersections beyond a void interpreted as historic underground workings. The results strengthen the case for deeper drilling, while leaving the size and continuity of the mineralisation unresolved.

Saturn Metals has extended the Apollo Hill gold system up to 1km north of its existing 2.83Moz Mineral Resource, with several high-grade intersections among the latest results. A 50-hole, 10,000m RC program is now underway to test continuity and support a planned resource update.

Great Southern Mining has returned high-grade gold intercepts from the first 19 RC holes at Golden Boulder, including 2m at 10.72 g/t. The results extend mineralisation down dip and leave most of the 14,000m program still to come.
