BluGlass has begun a three-to-five-month, A$286,000 feasibility collaboration with global photonics company Coherent to develop a novel gallium nitride device for scientific and medical applications. The agreement offers technical and commercial promise, but does not yet include a production commitment or confirmed product launch.

BluGlass capped FY26 with major contract wins including a $1.4 million Phase II deal with Uviquity, a $1.3 million agreement with a Fortune 500 data storage giant, and a world-record 1.9W output from its blue GaN laser, while raising $14.6 million to fuel growth.

BluGlass Limited has secured its first order from the Indian Department of Defence and reported a significant 16% improvement in visible laser efficiency, alongside raising $7.6 million to support growth.
