Astral Resources has agreed to pay WIN Metals $9.05 million plus GST for tenure and mineral rights critical to its Mandilla Gold Project. The deal is designed to simplify permitting and financing, but completion and the transfer of one key mining lease remain outstanding.

Astral Resources has strengthened its balance sheet and expanded its Mandilla gold resource as it moves from explorer toward developer. The next test is converting deep drilling, permitting progress and a proposed early-production joint venture into funded construction decisions.

Astral Resources has reported broad and high-grade gold intersections from two deep holes at Theia, including 22 metres at 2.73g/t and 2 metres at 12.8g/t. The results extend the evidence for mineralisation below the current resource shell, but any resource increase remains dependent on the six remaining holes and further interpretation.

Rare earths, scandium and biotech stocks led the week’s gains, while a rights issue sent Green & Gold Minerals sharply lower. Large capital raisings, mine funding and takeover activity kept resources at the centre of investor attention.
