Bass Oil says production at its Indonesian Bunian field has risen from 250 bopd to more than 800 bopd on a 100% share basis after Bunian 6 began producing from a newly discovered reservoir. Output could reach about 1,000 bopd once additional trucking capacity is available.

Bass Oil’s Bunian 6 well has confirmed oil in a previously unproduced zone, with the company targeting a potential threefold increase in Tangai-Sukananti field production. August sales also improved as Cooper Basin exports resumed, while Vanessa and Kiwi advanced toward future gas development.

Bass Oil has put a 1,280-barrel-per-day Bunian 6 test and planned Vanessa gas sales at the centre of its next growth phase. The company is also promoting Kiwi as a larger, longer-dated development opportunity, although much of the upside remains subject to testing, funding and execution.

Rare earths, scandium and biotech stocks led the week’s gains, while a rights issue sent Green & Gold Minerals sharply lower. Large capital raisings, mine funding and takeover activity kept resources at the centre of investor attention.
