Biome Australia is set to expand its Activated Probiotics range with two new products targeting vaginal health and perinatal care, tapping into a booming women’s health supplements market.

Biome Australia Limited has reported its first-ever net profit of $433,395 for the half-year ended December 2024, alongside a 47.4% increase in revenue driven by strong sales of its Activated Probiotics.

Biome Australia has partnered with the Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA) to jointly develop its promising BMB18 probiotic strain, leveraging $50 million in Australian government funding while retaining full IP ownership.

Biome Australia Limited has announced encouraging results from functional studies on its probiotic strain BMB18, highlighting its potential to modulate immune responses, reduce inflammation, and support intestinal health. These findings pave the way for targeted clinical research and product innovation.

Biome Australia Limited has expanded its distribution footprint to over 6,000 health retail and practitioner locations, marking a 20% increase in six months and advancing toward its Vision 27 target of 8,000 sites by FY27.
