Diatreme Resources has announced a substantial upgrade to its Northern Silica Project’s Si2 Deposit, increasing the Measured Mineral Resource by 278% to 187.5 million tonnes. This milestone sets the stage for an upcoming Pre-Feasibility Study targeting a long-life silica sand operation.

Diatreme Resources’ Northern Silica Project has been awarded Major Project Status by the Australian Government, marking a pivotal step in advancing critical minerals development in Queensland. This designation streamlines federal approvals and supports the project’s role in the clean energy supply chain.

Diatreme Resources has made significant strides in its silica sand ventures, signing a non-binding offtake MOU with Mitsui & Co and enhancing its leadership team. The company also reports strong cash reserves and ongoing environmental and community engagement efforts.

Diatreme Resources has advanced its Northern Silica Project’s environmental studies to the final stages, completing critical groundwater and ecological assessments ahead of a mid-2025 draft EIS submission.
