Viking Mines has repositioned itself around Nevada tungsten, with Linka producing a 56.9% WO₃ concentrate at 76.0% recovery and gaining approval for a 63-hole maiden drilling programme. The opportunity is advancing, but the company remains loss-making, has no JORC resource at Linka and will need further funding as work accelerates.

Viking Mines has confirmed thick tungsten intervals both beneath and above historic workings at its Linka project in Nevada, including 18 metres at 0.42% WO3 and 13 metres at 0.46% WO3. The results strengthen the geological model, but reassays affecting parts of two holes leave an important qualification hanging over the latest batch.

Viking Mines has identified several wide zones of visually confirmed scheelite in ongoing RC drilling at its Linka tungsten project in Nevada, including 22 metres across a 24-metre horizon. The encouraging visual results remain unassayed, leaving laboratory results as the next critical test of grade and continuity.

Rare earths, scandium and biotech stocks led the week’s gains, while a rights issue sent Green & Gold Minerals sharply lower. Large capital raisings, mine funding and takeover activity kept resources at the centre of investor attention.

Critical minerals led the market, with Australasian Metals doubling after taking an option over West African lithium projects. Rare earth technology, scandium finance and gold drilling also drew attention, but many developers fell as investors questioned funding and delivery.
