Marvell is seeking to absorb Lumentum in a US$115 billion all-stock deal that would unite electrical interconnect, lasers and optical networking under one roof. The companies are pitching a US$550 billion addressable market and more than US$1 billion in annual synergies, but completion remains well into the future and subject to regulatory and shareholder approval.
