Vistra has completed its acquisition of Cogentrix Energy, adding 10 natural gas facilities and nearly 5,500 megawatts of generation capacity across three major US power markets. The deal carries approximately US$2.2 billion in cash consideration, US$1.7 billion of assumed debt and 5 million newly issued Vistra shares.
