Gold, rare earths and energy shares led a busy week, while major company results brought large gains and steep sell-offs. Corporate deals, new project studies and rising dividends drew buyers, but some stocks fell despite stronger earnings.

Skellerup Holdings delivered a tenth consecutive year of EBIT growth with a 14% rise to NZD 89.3 million and expanded its climate initiatives, reporting a 24% jump in net profit to NZD 67.7 million.

Wild swings hit the ASX this week, with Janus Electric doubling, Aura sliding almost 30%, and TechGen jumping more than 22%. Big news kept landing, but many stocks still fell as early gains faded and traders locked in profits.

Skellerup has raised its FY26 net profit after tax forecast to $64-$65 million, driven by robust demand in the US and New Zealand markets, improved supply chain conditions, and favourable currency and tariff impacts.
