Northern Star has completed the crucial tie-in for KCGM’s expanded mill, but the integrated plant remains in the early stages of commissioning after a weaker September quarter. FY27 production and cost guidance is unchanged, while negative underlying free cash flow and a A$500 million debt draw add financial tension.

MyState reported a 41.2% rise in underlying FY26 NPAT to $58.3 million at its annual meeting, with merger synergies reaching $11.8 million on a run-rate basis. Mitchell Services delivered a sharp earnings acceleration in FY27’s opening quarter, helped by stronger rig utilisation, higher revenue per shift and a $3.4 million insurance benefit. Bank of Queensland’s statutory profit rose 88% to $250 million, but underlying cash earnings fell 7% as lending contracted and impairments normalised from a low base. Meeka Metals has reported its first full-year profit as a gold producer, but the $51.3 million result came after a difficult second half and $107 million of growth investment. MyState delivered a sharp rise in FY26 profit as Auswide integration produced $11.8 million in run-rate synergies, while the group lifted its full-year dividend to 24.5 cents per share. The next test is turning early integration gains into a larger payoff without losing control of technology costs and credit risk.

Papyrus Australia has expanded its TBS contract for an additional sample run after mixed trial results and secured a $200,000 unsecured loan with Irwin Biotech, advancing its capital raising efforts with L39 Capital.

Locality Planning Energy (ASX:LPE) reversed losses to post a $2.31 million statutory profit in FY2026, driven by strategic acquisitions, improved earnings, and a strengthened balance sheet.

COG Financial Services lifted revenue 10% to $403.4 million and net profit after tax attributable to members by 29% to $24.24 million for FY26, driven by a 51% jump in its Salary Packaging segment including the Easifleet acquisition. The company declared a fully franked 7.0 cents per share dividend, suspending its dividend reinvestment plan.
