Latest Exploration Activities News

Catalyst Metals has established about 2Moz of probable Ore Reserves across the Plutonic Gold Belt, enough to underpin a targeted 200koz of annual production for roughly 10 years. The milestone strengthens the company’s growth case, but delivery still depends on mine development, permitting and conversion of additional resources.

Asara Resources has emerged from FY2026 with a substantially larger Kada gold resource, strong cash backing and a more concentrated Guinea strategy. The headline resource update came after year-end and remains a Mineral Resource, not an Ore Reserve or economic mine plan.

Manhattan Gold Corporation (ASX:MHC) has emerged from a transformational year with encouraging Hook Lake drilling, expanded tenure and a sharper gold focus, but no compliant resource yet and only A$2.01 million in year-end cash. The company reported an A$8.90 million loss after absorbing exploration costs and a large loss on its lithium divestment.

Peregrine Gold has reported a $3.47 million FY2026 loss and $3.56 million operating cash outflow, with its auditor highlighting material uncertainty over the company’s ability to continue as a going concern. Against that financial pressure, the ASX-listed explorer is preparing RC drilling across two high-grade channel iron prospects and advancing several gold targets in the Pilbara.

Torque Metals enters FY2027 with a 351,000-ounce Ritz Gold Project resource, $13.6 million in cash and an exceptional post-year-end HHH intercept. But the annual report also carries an auditor-highlighted material uncertainty over going concern, with further funding potentially required to sustain exploration.

Renascor Resources has identified multiple high-priority conductive targets at its Flat Hill project in South Australia, including features near historical copper intersections and previously untested areas. Drilling is being planned at depths of about 150 to 300 metres, but access and Native Title arrangements remain outstanding.

Australian Rare Earths has converted Koppamurra from an exploration story into a defined rare earths development case, with an A$858 million after-tax PFS NPV and a maiden Ore Reserve. The next test is less geological than financial: the company must fund the path from pilot processing to construction while carrying a material going-concern warning.

Strategic Energy Resources (ASX:SER) narrowed its FY26 loss and lifted cash to $1.84 million while advancing four Queensland copper-gold projects with Fortescue and Sumitomo. But auditors flagged a material uncertainty over the explorer’s ability to continue as a going concern, leaving future funding central to the investment case.

Flynn Gold has returned to trading with a one-for-three renounceable rights issue priced at A$0.015, seeking up to approximately A$3 million for Tasmanian exploration. Only A$1.5 million is underwritten, leaving the final proceeds dependent on shareholder participation and shortfall demand.

Trek Metals has secured a nine-month option to acquire the 154-claim Matrix Manganese Project in Arizona for a total potential cash consideration of A$200,000. The deal offers a low-cost route into a US critical-minerals opportunity, but carries a significant related-party consideration because CEO Derek Marshall owns about 66.67% of the vendor.

Barys Resources is seeking up to A$2.64 million through a 1-for-1 entitlement offer priced at a 41% discount, with most proceeds earmarked for Kazakhstan gold exploration. But only A$800,000 is underwritten, leaving the final funding outcome and potential dilution dependent on shareholder participation.

Venari Minerals says it knows of no undisclosed information behind a sharp rise in its share price and trading volume. The company points instead to ongoing Red Mountain drilling and a proposed exploration program still awaiting US regulatory approval.
