Hawthorn Resources is nearing a financial investment decision on a larger Anglo-Saxon open pit after upgrading the project’s resource to about 200,000 ounces. The opportunity is advancing alongside a wider FY2026 loss, falling cash and pending exploration results at Pinjin East.

Ora Banda Mining (ASX:OBM) kept its FY27 guidance intact despite weather disruption and an extended mill shutdown lifting quarterly AISC to A$4,214 an ounce. The company is spending heavily to build its next production phase, with the new 3.0 Mtpa plant on schedule and Waihi Underground starting ahead of plan.

Mineral Resources has maintained FY27 guidance after a record quarter for mining services and lithium sales, while Onslow Iron delivered its strongest export month yet. The gains came with a sharp fall in lithium prices, elevated Mt Marion costs and a leadership change in the lithium division.

Talisman Mining has expanded the shallow gold footprint at its Sheepyard Prospect in New South Wales and is preparing RC drilling to test an untested anomaly at depth. The company has also raised about A$4 million, although part of the funding and director participation still require shareholder approval.

The next test is whether Nittetsu’s drilling and earn-in spending can add value to an asset whose mineral resource has not changed since 2023.

Strike Resources swung to an $8.58 million FY2026 profit, largely through its stake in LE Minerals rather than iron ore operations. The company is also relying on a conditional Apurimac sale for cash while withdrawing its previously reported mineral resource estimate.

Aeris Resources has more than tripled the Golden Plateau mineral resource at its Cracow operation to 200,000 ounces of contained gold, supported by new drilling and a revised geological model. The deposit is not yet an Ore Reserve, but Aeris has begun mine design and permitting work around a potential open-pit and underground development.

Charger Metals has completed 4,390 metres of a 10,000 metre drilling campaign at its Medcalf lithium project, while test work lifted the composite product to 1.32% Li2O at 94.9% recovery. The Bynoe sale has also left the explorer with $4.23 million in cash to fund drilling and scoping work.

Minbos Resources spent A$4.7 million on plant and equipment as construction advanced at its Cabinda phosphate project in Angola. The company also completed a post-quarter A$6 million placement, but BFA funding and approvals remain key dependencies for its Q2 2027 commissioning target.

Power Minerals has extended rare earth oxide mineralisation to 242 metres downhole at Morro do Ferro, including a 2-metre zone grading 6.88% TREO. The result adds two deeper high-grade targets to the Brazilian project’s resource-definition campaign, although their true geometry and economic significance remain unproven.

Tivan Limited (ASX:TVN) is moving several projects towards major technical and financing milestones, including a proposed $50 million Molyhil joint venture and maiden drilling in Timor-Leste. The company ended September with $19.925 million in cash, equivalent to about 2.3 quarters of funding at the quarter’s reported spending rate.
