Latest Monazite News

Fortuna Metals has reported a sharply expanded exploration base at its Mkanda rutile and graphite project in Malawi, alongside a narrower FY2026 loss and A$8.6 million of post-year-end funding. The resource remains early-stage and inferred, but the scale and product quality have moved the project into a more consequential development phase.

Empire Resources has identified rare earth oxide and phosphate mineralisation across three Yuinmery prospects, with new archived-drilling results reaching 1,712.5ppm TREO+Y. The early-stage opportunity now depends on additional assays, follow-up drilling and proof that the material can be upgraded economically.

Enova Mining has secured an exclusive 30-day option over a large Brazilian monazite project while lining up almost $2 million in funding. The opportunity remains conditional on due diligence, shareholder approval and Enova’s decision to exercise the option.

MRG Metals says grid hand-auger drilling has outlined a visually mineralised 1.6 square kilometre footprint at its Adriano rare earths project in Mozambique. The result expands the exploration picture, but laboratory assays are still pending and no Mineral Resource has yet been established.

Image Resources has expanded the Mineral Resource at its Durack mineral sands project by 43% to 37.7 million tonnes, while lifting contained heavy minerals and zircon content. The upgraded estimate gives the company a stronger technical base for an economic evaluation due later in 2026, although changes to the cut-off and mineral definitions complicate direct comparisons.

QEM has ranked the Vaught-Peck prospect as the leading target at its newly acquired Garden Valley project in Idaho after reviewing historical records of columbite, samarskite and other rare-metal minerals. The opportunity remains prospective rather than proven, with no modern drilling, assays or resource estimate yet reported.

Sovereign Metals says a simple add-on circuit at its Malawi project could generate US$722 million of pre-tax value from monazite by-product recovery. The opportunity is commercially striking, but remains a preliminary scoping result dependent on further testwork, approvals, funding and customer qualification.

Osmond Resources reported a A$7.61 million FY26 loss and warned of a material uncertainty over its ability to continue as a going concern, despite holding A$5.50 million in cash. The company is betting its Spanish Orión project can move from exploration into a resource estimate and scoping study in the coming months.

Eclipse Metals' latest testwork confirms that up to 94% of neodymium and praseodymium are locked in identifiable REE minerals at Grønnedal, underpinning a promising beneficiation strategy ahead of flotation trials.

Lion Rock Minerals has revealed high-grade rare earth element mineralisation starting at surface at its Minta Project in Cameroon, with assays showing up to 21.15% TREO in saprolite and a magnet-rich rare earth basket. A large-scale drilling campaign is underway to further define this significant discovery.

Dreadnought Resources has lodged a mining lease application for its Yin Rare Earth deposits in WA, underpinning its Gifford Creek Critical Metals Project with a substantial 30 million tonne resource and strong metallurgical credentials.

Lion Rock Minerals (ASX: LRM) has denied holding any undisclosed information that could explain a recent spike in its share price and volume, while confirming it awaits assay results from its ongoing drilling campaign at the Minta Est tenement.
