St Barbara is positioning itself as a debt-free Nova Scotia gold developer after a proposed A$453 million Simberi exit, with a potential special dividend and share buy-back still on the table. Its updated 15-Mile study points to a larger reserve, longer mine life and stronger project economics, but those figures remain study-based and conditional on execution.

Ardea Resources enters FY2027 with its flagship Goongarrie Hub still short of a completed definitive feasibility study, even as Japanese partners and governments deepen their support. The company reported a A$24.6 million consolidated loss, while future funding arrangements beyond the current DFS program remain unresolved.

Nico Resources is advancing drilling, metallurgical studies and a potential downstream battery-materials partnership at Wingellina, despite a subdued nickel market and a larger annual loss. The company ended FY2026 with $4.73 million across cash and short-term investments after raising $3.73 million in equity.

Mt Malcolm Mines has moved closer to an integrated gold development model, combining a maiden 13,200-ounce resource with ownership of major 500,000-tonne-per-year processing plant components. The shift came with a $1.639 million loss, $1.445 million of operating cash outflows and a warning that further working capital is likely to be required within 12 months.

Arika Resources has consolidated full ownership of its two Western Australian gold projects after a year of expanding mineralisation and fresh high-grade targets. Far Northern Resources expanded its Northern Territory gold inventory to 117,000 ounces during FY26, while Bridge Creek moved closer to mining studies. The progress came alongside a wider annual loss, falling cash reserves and an auditor-emphasised going-concern consideration.

Torque Metals enters FY2027 with a 351,000-ounce Ritz Gold Project resource, $13.6 million in cash and an exceptional post-year-end HHH intercept. But the annual report also carries an auditor-highlighted material uncertainty over going concern, with further funding potentially required to sustain exploration.

Equatorial Resources has completed the final procedural steps in its high-value Congo arbitration, with an ICSID award indicatively expected in the first half of 2027. The cash-backed explorer is also defending a separate A$4.85 million claim from former legal adviser Clifford Chance.

Lindian Resources has crossed a significant operational threshold, moving Kangankunde in Malawi from construction into active mining while targeting first production in Q4 2026. The transition was funded by A$191.5 million in placements, but the company still faces the harder test of commissioning, downstream integration and cash discipline.
