Latest Porphyry Systems News

AusQuest’s latest diamond drilling at the Cangallo project in Peru pushes copper mineralisation down to at least 800 metres and reveals multiple higher-grade zones, reinforcing the scale of this emerging porphyry system.

Lightning Minerals has identified two distinct gold target corridors within the Western Zone of its Mt Turner Project, highlighting a 1km-long intrusion-related gold anomaly and multiple epithermal-style trends. Follow-up sampling and trenching are planned to refine these targets ahead of drilling.

Pacific Resources has confirmed a new high-grade copper zone at its Dogwood project, with assays revealing the highest copper grade recorded to date alongside a first-ever polymetallic porphyry signature from laboratory tests.

Koonenberry Gold has kicked off a seven-hole RC and diamond drilling program at its Dunedoo Project in NSW, targeting the untested Bolinda Vale copper-gold porphyry system and the Hillside gold-silver anomalies.

AusQuest’s maiden RC drilling at Lantana in Peru confirms porphyry-related alteration and anomalous copper, pointing to a concealed mineralised system beneath cover. The results set the stage for targeted geophysical surveys and follow-up drilling.

Sunstone Metals has pushed the boundaries of its Bramaderos gold-copper project in Ecuador with a standout 176m mineralised intersection at Porotillo, expanding the footprint well beyond the current 3.6Moz resource and setting the stage for a resource update in December.

Kincora Copper has accelerated exploration activities across its Australian portfolio, including partner-funded drilling with AngloGold Ashanti and sole-funded programs at Condobolin, while divesting its Mongolian assets for US$10 million to sharpen focus and strengthen its balance sheet.

Sarytogan Graphite Limited has revealed promising copper porphyry mineralisation at its Ilksan prospect in Kazakhstan, intersecting 229 metres at 0.14% copper including higher-grade zones. The results suggest proximity to a high-grade deposit, with further drill results pending.

Godolphin Resources intensifies exploration at Mt Aubrey and Copper Hill East, leveraging a streamlined portfolio and a strategic pivot to precious and base metals in NSW’s Lachlan Fold Belt.

Infinity Metals has locked in an exclusive option to acquire 100% of the Tule Canyon molybdenum-copper project in Nevada, a historically explored porphyry deposit with promising drill results and strategic positioning amid soaring molybdenum prices.

Southern Hemisphere Mining has reported substantial copper sulphide mineralisation at its Llahuin project in Chile, with drill intercepts confirming a large porphyry system and prompting a resource upgrade.

Sunstone Metals has uncovered a substantial new zone of gold-copper mineralisation at its Bramaderos Project in Ecuador, with all 24 recent drill holes outside the existing 3.6Moz resource delivering long intersections. The Porotillo prospect alone now spans a 520m by 230m area, setting the stage for a resource update in December 2026.
