Osmond Resources has secured the maximum €250,000 provisional grant in the first round of Spain’s national mineral exploration program, while preparing to start a 13-hole campaign at its Orión project. The company has also issued 85 million shares to retain its 80% interest in the project-owning vehicle.

Maritana Minerals has secured the final statutory approval for its 2.5Mtpa Black Swan Processing Hub in Western Australia and extended early works with GR Engineering Services for an additional A$6.5 million. The project remains aimed at first gold in the second half of calendar 2027, although the EPC contract is still being finalised.

Alma Metals is pushing the Briggs Copper Project through a substantial drilling and metallurgical program, with a 2027 resource update planned to support a prefeasibility study. The project’s 932Mt resource contains about 2Mt of copper, but the company still faces the usual funding, technical and development hurdles of a large undeveloped mine.

Kantra Copper has intersected 70 metres at 1.18% copper and 0.24 grams per tonne gold at the Nugent lode, extending mineralisation below its existing resource model. The results arrive ahead of a 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate scheduled for late October.

Aldoro Resources has expanded its Kameelburg rare earths, strontium and niobium resource in Namibia to 804.5 million tonnes, including a maiden 162.1Mt Indicated category. The technical progress is substantial, but the annual report also flags a $15.7 million loss, just $78,561 in year-end cash and material uncertainty over ongoing funding.

Atomic Eagle has begun a technical review aimed at determining whether its 60%-owned Madaouela uranium project in Niger can support a materially larger development than outlined in the 2022 feasibility study. The headline returns are strong, but the project remains a preliminary study with no Ore Reserve, material Inferred Resource exposure and more than A$400 million still to raise.

Lotus Resources delivered first uranium production from Kayelekera in more than a decade, but its first operating year brought a $100.1 million loss, heavy cash burn and an auditor-highlighted material uncertainty over its ability to continue as a going concern. The mine produced 332.1 thousand pounds of U3O8 before acid supply problems forced a temporary processing pause.
