Image Resources has secured a A$5 million cash advance from LB Group while negotiating a broader deal that could bring further funding and mineral sands processing equipment into its Durack and Yandanooka projects. The advance comes without issuing new shares, but the larger transaction remains unresolved.

Firetrail Australian Small Companies Fund delivered a 13.03% pre-fee return for the year to 30 June 2026, outperforming its benchmark by more than 11 percentage points. Net assets nearly doubled to $805.9 million as applications outpaced redemptions, although investors should note the result was before fees and distributions surged alongside performance income.

Booster Innovation Fund has invested $200,000 in TheiaNova, a University of Auckland spinout developing a self-administered eye drop for keratoconus. The seed-stage bet accounts for 0.76% of BIF’s portfolio, keeping the exposure modest while adding an early biotechnology asset.

Rua Bioscience delivered a sharp rise in customer revenue and secured a UK agreement expected to generate NZ$10 million over two years. But PwC disclaimed an audit opinion, warning the company may not have enough cash without another capital raise.

Plato Global Alpha Fund delivered a 26.7% net return for the year ended 30 June 2026, beating its global equity benchmark by 11.9 percentage points. Net assets climbed almost sixfold to $4.75 billion, driven by investment gains and substantial new applications, although the fund’s short positions and currency exposures remain material risks.

Historical work has identified widespread near-surface columbo-tantalite mineralisation at Australasian Metals’ Atex project in Côte d’Ivoire, adding a potential tantalum stream to its lithium strategy. The results are encouraging, but the underlying estimate is non-JORC, unverified and based on incomplete historical records.

Narryer Metals is buying the Redhill Copper Project in southern Chile from 29Metals, gaining an existing 4.3Mt inferred resource and a much larger conceptual exploration target. The deal also brings a A$1 million strategic investment from 29Metals at a 54% premium to Narryer’s pre-announcement share price.
