Forrestania expands gold feed pipeline with Mt Fisher agreement

Forrestania Resources has secured preferential access to up to 400,000 tonnes of gold-bearing ore from High-Tech Metals’ Mt Fisher project under a 24-month binding agreement. The deal expands a third-party feed pipeline ahead of Forrestania’s targeted December restart of processing at Edna May, although volumes, timing and financial contribution remain uncommitted.

Mt Fisher adds another potential feed source

Forrestania Resources (ASX:FRS) has added up to 400,000 tonnes of potential gold-bearing ore to its processing pipeline, signing a binding 24-month purchase agreement with High-Tech Metals (ASX:HTM) for material from the Mt Fisher Gold Project in Western Australia.

The agreement gives Forrestania preferential access to Mt Fisher ore during the term, but it does not guarantee that the full volume will be supplied or processed. Delivery schedules and processing campaigns will be settled between the companies over time, leaving the timing and scale of the contribution open.

Commercial terms leave the financial outcome open

Ore pricing will be determined by grade, metallurgical recovery, prevailing gold prices and agreed treatment and processing charges. Forrestania did not disclose a minimum volume, transaction value, expected production or forecast financial contribution from Mt Fisher.

That makes the agreement strategically useful before it becomes financially measurable. The company is assembling external feed sources around its processing infrastructure, while its Tumblegum ore agreement with Star Minerals had already established another potential 400,000-tonne source over 24 months.

Edna May restart remains the near-term test

Forrestania said the Mt Fisher arrangement supports its hub-and-spoke strategy, which is intended to combine ore from its own deposits with material from third parties across Western Australia. Executive chairman David Geraghty said the company was already hauling ore from its Taipan and Tumblegum deposits to Edna May ahead of first ore processing planned for December 2026.

The agreement therefore broadens the potential supply base as Forrestania moves towards its targeted restart. That restart remains the more immediate operational milestone, with the company having recently reiterated its December processing target in its Edna May production target.

Execution will determine whether the pipeline converts

Forrestania’s challenge is now less about identifying possible mill feed than converting those opportunities into scheduled campaigns with predictable grades, recoveries and transport arrangements. Mt Fisher’s preferential-access provision improves the company’s position within the agreement, but the announcement provides no timetable for deliveries or processing.

With first ore processing targeted for December, the next useful evidence will be operational: whether Edna May starts on schedule, how quickly third-party campaigns are arranged, and whether Forrestania discloses enough data to quantify Mt Fisher’s eventual production and cash contribution.

Bottom Line?

Mt Fisher strengthens Forrestania’s prospective feed pipeline, but the investment case still depends on scheduled deliveries, recoveries and the December Edna May restart translating optional supply into actual production.

Questions in the middle?

  • When will Mt Fisher deliveries and processing campaigns begin, and what volume will be committed?
  • What grades, recoveries and treatment charges will determine the agreement’s economic contribution?
  • Can Edna May begin processing in December 2026 while Forrestania integrates multiple internal and third-party ore sources?
