Aruma’s Tillex Drilling Builds Momentum Across a 230m Copper Zone

Aruma Resources has extended the high-grade Tillex copper-silver zone to about 230 metres, with Phase-2 drilling returning several broad, near-surface intersections in Ontario. The explorer has also expanded the project’s interpreted trend to 3.2 kilometres and secured $3.5 million to keep drilling, although quarter-end cash stood at just A$214,690 before most placement proceeds arrived.

  • Phase-2 drilling extends Tillex high-grade zone to approximately 230m
  • Results include 38.58m at 1.00% copper and 10.4g/t silver
  • Interpreted Tillex trend expands to 3.2km across a 29km² project area
  • A$3.5m placement completed, with A$3.059m received after quarter end
  • Further assays are pending from extensions to the known mineralised zone

Tillex Drilling Extends High-Grade Zone

Aruma Resources Limited (ASX:AAJ) has pushed the high-grade zone at its Tillex Copper-Silver Project in Ontario to approximately 230 metres of strike continuity, with Phase-2 drilling producing a run of broad copper-silver intersections close to surface.

The strongest new wide result was 38.58 metres at 1.00% copper and 10.4 grams per tonne silver from 46.8 metres in hole TX26-012. That interval included 9.12 metres at 1.47% copper and 8.87 metres at 1.63% copper, while the same hole also returned narrow, much higher-grade zones of 0.34 metres at 6.8% copper and 0.34 metres at 15.5% copper.

Other Phase-2 results included 15.95 metres at 1.69% copper in TX26-011, 12.7 metres at 1.43% copper and 7.68 metres at 2.21% copper in TX26-013, and 27 metres at 1.00% copper in TX26-010. These are exploration results rather than a mineral resource or economic study, and the company has not established whether the mineralisation can support a viable mining operation.

Pending Assays Hold the Next Evidence

Phase-2 drilling remains under way, with assays pending from holes testing up to a further 130 metres to the south-west. Holes probing the eastern and western extensions are also awaiting results, leaving the immediate shape of the mineralised zone unresolved.

The campaign builds on Aruma’s earlier drilling, which returned broader and higher-grade intersections, including 89 metres at 2.04% copper and 12.31g/t silver in TX26-004. The latest program has now established continuity across a larger area, but the company’s language remains appropriately exploratory: the limits of mineralisation are open in all directions and have yet to be defined.

Project Footprint Reaches 29km²

Aruma has expanded the Tillex land position to approximately 29 square kilometres and says the interpreted mineralised trend now extends for about 3.2 kilometres. The latest ground acquisitions build on the recent Tillex claim expansion, which added an untested area immediately north-east of the existing high-grade zone.

Most of that trend remains lightly explored beyond the company’s focused drilling area. The larger tenure gives Aruma more room to test extensions, but it also increases the amount of ground that must be assessed before the scale and continuity of the system can be judged with confidence.

Placement Replenishes Exploration Budget

Aruma completed a A$3.5 million placement at A$0.0045 a share to fund continued Phase-2 drilling, tenure acquisition, geophysical and geochemical work, and working capital. A further A$50,000 was subscribed by chairman James Moses on the same terms.

The funding matters because Aruma ended the September quarter with only A$214,690 in cash and no debt. The company reported A$3.059 million from the second placement tranche after quarter end, while the cash-flow statement recorded A$466,000 of equity proceeds during the quarter. On the reported quarter-end figures, available funding equated to just 0.20 quarters; Aruma said exploration spending could be adjusted and that the post-quarter-end capital would allow it to continue operations.

Wilan and Fiery Creek Add Secondary Workstreams

Outside Tillex, Aruma executed a Native Title Mining Agreement with the Arabana Aboriginal Corporation for the Wilan Heavy Mineral Sands-Uranium Project in South Australia. The company is preparing a Program for Environmental Protection and Rehabilitation before planned on-ground work, including a proposed aircore program to test an interpreted 40-kilometre arcuate heavy-mineral-sands target.

At Fiery Creek in Queensland’s Mt Isa region, a new three-dimensional geological and structural model identified three priority regions of interest. Those targets are prospective interpretations, not discoveries, and the quarter’s report does not disclose drilling at them.

Bottom Line?

Tillex now has both stronger evidence of continuity and a funded next phase, but the investment case still turns on pending assays, eventual resource definition and how quickly the low quarter-end cash position is converted into sustained exploration momentum.

Questions in the middle?

  • Will pending holes extend the 230-metre high-grade zone without weakening its grade or thickness?
  • How much of the 3.2-kilometre interpreted Tillex trend can be converted into defined mineralisation?
  • How quickly will Aruma deploy the placement proceeds, and when will Tillex move beyond exploration results toward a mineral resource estimate?
