Latest Exploration Targeting News

Voltaic Strategic Resources has agreed to acquire five granted Western Australian exploration licences across three gold projects for A$330,000 upfront, with up to A$2 million tied to future Rocky Ridge resource milestones. The deal broadens the explorer’s gold pipeline, but the assets remain at the target-generation stage rather than being defined resources.

EcoGraf has replaced its earlier Epanko announcement after ASX correspondence, setting out the assumptions behind a potential increase in Stage 1 production to 87,600 tonnes per annum. The higher-throughput case lowers estimated unit costs, but remains preliminary and is not yet the basis for project financing or a final investment decision.

Patriot Resources has completed 38 surface samples at its Tassa silver-gold project in Peru, where mapping identified a 120-metre breccia interpreted as the upper part of a preserved epithermal system. The company is now moving south into the newly acquired Tassa 5 tenement while its maiden drill permit application progresses.

Flagship Minerals has outlined a conceptual 22 million to 40 million tonne tungsten Exploration Target at its Khao Soon project in southern Thailand. The company is now weighing a sale, spin-out or joint venture for the non-core asset, but the target remains well short of a Mineral Resource.

ACDC Metals has secured Bureau of Land Management approval for a 15-hole exploration program and a 12 line-kilometre geophysical survey at its Mount Jackson project in Nevada. Field activity is expected to begin in October, with drilling targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Tolu Minerals has set out a Q1 2027 restart target for its Tolukuma gold-silver mine in Papua New Guinea, backed by a recently upgraded 909,000-ounce resource and refurbishment of an existing processing plant. The company says it has sufficient funding to reach production, but the timetable remains dependent on mine development, plant work and operating execution.

Helix Resources is shifting its exploration focus from Arizona towards Pilbara gold after a year of acquisitions, portfolio reassessment and a narrowed annual loss. The strategy reset comes with only $83,676 in cash, a stated need for further funding and a proposed Mosquito Creek acquisition awaiting shareholder approval.

Patriot Resources has established a 31.4 million-ounce silver-equivalent inferred resource at its Tassa project in Peru, but the company's annual report warns that further capital raising is required to sustain operations. The explorer recorded a $4.82 million loss and remains dependent on final drilling approvals.

Locksley Resources has halted active field exploration across its Mojave antimony and rare earths project after antimony prices fell more than 57% from mid-2025 peaks. The strategic reset came as the company reported a widened FY26 loss of A$15.65 million and shifted attention to copper-gold assets in New South Wales.

Antimony Resources has moved closer to first production in Mexico, but its FY2026 annual report carries a material going-concern warning after a A$7.0 million loss and sharply reduced cash reserves. The company now faces the harder test of turning its Tecomatlán plant and Los Lirios project into cash-generating operations.

Piche Resources has identified a broad gold-silver system at Toro Hosco in Argentina after completing its maiden 5,911-metre drilling campaign. The exploration progress came alongside a $5.27 million annual loss, $5.22 million operating cash outflow and reliance on post-year-end equity funding.

Tusker Minerals reduced its FY2026 loss, but the improvement was driven largely by a A$4.64 million asset-sale gain rather than mining revenue. The early-stage explorer is concentrating its capital on Cameroon rutile and heavy mineral sands while relying on future funding to maintain momentum.
