Latest Exploration Targeting News

QX Resources reduced its annual loss and ended June with $1.64 million in cash, but its auditor has warned that the company must raise more money to keep operating. The Madaba uranium project has produced a sizeable conceptual exploration target, yet it remains some distance from a mineral resource.

Barkly Rare Earths has entered its first full year as an ASX-listed explorer with A$5.38 million in cash, a 10,000-metre drilling programme underway and an early 99% magnet rare earth oxide extraction result. The technical signals are encouraging, but both the drilling data and metallurgy remain at an early stage.

Kingsland Minerals has advanced its flagship Leliyn Graphite Project into pre-feasibility, backed by high-grade drilling, gallium testwork and a A$2.16 million capital raising. But the ASX-listed explorer finished FY2026 with only A$458,032 in cash and remains dependent on further funding.

Noronex Limited (ASX:NRX) swung to a A$1.145 million statutory profit in FY2026, but the result was driven mainly by tenement disposal gains while operating cash outflows increased sharply. The auditor also highlighted material uncertainty over the explorer’s ability to continue without further funding.

SQX Resources Limited (ASX:SQX) has emerged from a transformational year with two advanced US gold projects, broad shallow mineralisation at Red Bird and exceptional underground assays at Williams. The exploration gains came alongside a $1.83 million loss, falling cash and a further $2.47 million capital raising completed after year-end.

Gold Mountain expanded its Brazilian rare earths portfolio during FY2026, taking Irajuba beyond its original conceptual target and confirming ionic adsorption clay characteristics at Capivara. The progress came alongside an $8.137 million loss, a $4.798 million impairment charge and continued reliance on equity funding.

Pursuit Minerals posted an A$666,579 FY2026 profit, but the result was driven largely by a fair-value gain on its Kendrick Resources investment rather than operating revenue. The company’s more consequential development is in Argentina, where Rio Grande Sur now carries a 1.264 million tonne LCE resource, a maiden probable reserve and a pre-feasibility case for 5,000 tonnes per year of lithium carbonate.

Taruga Minerals has transformed its exploration strategy around two Papua New Guinea projects, but the next phase comes with a clear funding constraint. The ASX-listed explorer ended FY2026 with A$1.84 million in cash, a A$3.77 million loss and an auditor-highlighted material uncertainty over its ability to continue as a going concern.

Dalaroo Metals has moved from a Western Australian base-metals explorer into a three-country gold and critical-minerals play, but its next phase depends on drilling success and continued access to capital. The annual report records a $2.63 million loss, $509,442 in year-end cash and a material uncertainty over going concern.

Odessa Minerals has expanded its Western Australian exploration targets and ended FY2026 with $3.66 million in cash, but its annual loss nearly doubled as equity-based payments increased. The company is now preparing a maiden 10,000-metre air-core program while remaining dependent on future funding and exploration success.

Global Gold Mining ended 2026 with $7.7 million in cash and a cleaner balance sheet, but remains loss-making and dependent on future funding as it pushes Sturec towards a pre-feasibility study. The company’s new identity and board are now attached to a project with 2.686 million ounces of gold, no declared Ore Reserve and several technical milestones still outstanding.

Apollo Minerals ended 2026 with A$7.74 million in cash and no debt after raising A$9.3 million, but remains a loss-making explorer with no JORC Mineral Resources or production. The company is now concentrating its exploration story on the reinstated Couflens tungsten-gold project in France, while carrying a conceptual zinc-lead target in Gabon.
