Meeka Metals has secured $40 million after costs through a two-tranche institutional placement priced at $0.10 a share, giving the gold producer fresh funding for Turnberry, Mt Holland and exploration. The capital raise comes as provisional September-quarter gold recovery reached 7,000 to 7,500 ounces and the company expects roughly $50 million in cash after the first tranche.

Latrobe Magnesium has moved its demonstration plant into the final installation stage for magnesium metal, but its annual report flags a material uncertainty over whether the loss-making group can continue as a going concern.
