DeSoto Resources has assembled about 1,300 square kilometres of gold tenure in Guinea’s Siguiri Basin, but the expansion came with a A$15.0 million FY2026 loss and a A$6.35 million write-off of Northern Territory exploration assets. The company enters FY2027 with drilling, geophysics and tenure renewals still to convert its large portfolio into a defined resource.

Kincora Copper says 2026 drilling has identified multiple porphyry-style intrusive complexes across its Nevertire and Nevertire South licences, expanding the interpreted prospective strike beyond 40 kilometres. The results remain early-stage, but AngloGold Ashanti’s potential A$100 million earn-in gives the exploration program meaningful financial backing.

Emerald Resources-backed Manda Resources has completed a suite of North Queensland asset acquisitions, lifting its combined global JORC gold resource to 1.33Moz. The vehicle has started drilling and appointed experienced explorer Tara French as CEO ahead of a proposed ASX listing later in 2026.

Kali Metals has secured up to $700,000 in exploration funding from Japan’s JX Advanced Metals for its 1,413 square kilometre Southern Lachlan project. The agreement creates a pathway to a potential farm-in or joint venture, but no formal deal has yet been agreed.

Gold Hydrogen has advanced Ramsay drilling, testing and commercial studies, but its annual report carries a material uncertainty over the company’s ability to continue as a going concern. The pre-revenue explorer ended FY2026 with $9.42 million in cash after spending heavily on exploration.

Novo Resources is positioning a A$8 million cash balance and A$37.54 million investment portfolio behind a broad Australian gold, copper and polymetallic exploration push. The strategy brings several drilling catalysts, but also a A$10 million deferred payment due in December and a heavy reliance on future exploration success.

AusQuest has materially expanded its Cangallo copper-gold discovery in Peru, but the exploration push came with a larger loss, a sharp rise in cash outflows and an auditor warning that further funding is likely within 12 months. The company ended FY2026 with $6.35 million in cash after a $10 million placement.

Elementos has materially strengthened its balance sheet while moving its Spanish Oropesa tin project closer to permitting, financing and a final investment decision. The annual report also highlights a doubling of Cleveland’s inferred tungsten resource, but both projects still require substantial capital and further approvals.

Enterprise Metals has secured $1.2 million in discounted equity funding alongside a proposed board overhaul led by mining executives Phillip Gallagher and Steven Zaninovich. The incoming team will review the company’s Western Australian portfolio and decide where its limited exploration capital should go next.

FMR Resources will sell its Fairfield copper-gold project to unlisted MFM Resources for $200,000 in MFM shares, subject to approvals, due diligence and MFM securing a proposed ASX listing. The deal marks a sharper concentration of FMR’s resources on its Chilean portfolio, but leaves shareholders exposed to the uncertainty of a future IPO and a non-cash consideration.

Gibb River Diamonds reported a A$5.61 million profit after receiving a A$7 million pre-GST distribution from its Neta gold joint venture. The cash windfall leaves the explorer with A$6.74 million in the bank, but its next challenge is converting a one-off mining payment into a credible development pipeline.

Caravel Minerals has delayed the Caravel Copper Project’s Definitive Feasibility Study from September to the fourth quarter of 2026. The extra time will fund further metallurgical testing, groundwater modelling, environmental updates and a detailed review of the process plant capital estimate.
