Legacy Minerals has appointed WSP to assess scandium at its 100%-owned NiCo Young project, potentially adding a third critical mineral to a 167.8Mt inferred nickel-cobalt resource. The combined JORC update is expected in October, but no scandium resource has yet been established.

Western Gold Resources has sharply expanded the proposed Gold Duke mine, lifting its production target by 62% and forecasting A$72.9 million in operating surplus. The preliminary study is stronger on paper, but still depends on funding and the restart of toll treatment at Wiluna.

Taruga Minerals has identified a new northeast-trending gold-copper zone at Uaroo Ridge in Western Australia, led by a rock chip grading 1.4g/t gold and 4.3% copper. Ordell Minerals has reported broad shallow gold intersections from the first 11 holes of a 122-hole infill program at McNabs East in Western Australia. The results strengthen the case for a maiden resource in the December 2026 quarter, although most assays and the key resource work remain outstanding.

OD6 Metals has identified high-grade fluorspar at North Horseshoe Canyon in Nevada, with selective rock-chip assays reaching 60% CaF2. The results expand an interpreted 1.5-kilometre target corridor linking the Horseshoe and Big Jim areas, but drilling is still needed to establish continuity, thickness and scale.

Sentinel Metals has reported broad, stacked gold mineralisation at its Columbia project in Montana, including a 48-metre intercept at 1.13g/t gold. Fire assays have also confirmed the company’s earlier high-grade maiden-hole result, while a November resource update now looms as the key test.

PC Gold has identified a historically sampled high-grade domain at Spring Hill, with a composite 20.35m channel result grading 13.04g/t gold outside the current resource estimate. The target has not been drilled, leaving continuity and true width unresolved ahead of planned testing in late September.

Morella has established a maiden 5.44 million tonne Inferred resource at Mt Edon containing approximately 8,300 tonnes of rubidium oxide. The estimate gives the project scale, but commercial value still depends on recovery, purification and a viable product route.

Encounter Resources has reported its highest-grade niobium intersection yet at the Green Deposit, with drilling extending beyond the existing resource boundary. The result strengthens the case for further resource growth, but follow-up drilling is needed to establish continuity and true widths.

Corazon Mining has begun a 50-hole, approximately 7,500-metre RC drilling program at its Chalice Gold Project in Western Australia. The campaign will test near-surface extensions to the existing 191,000-ounce resource, while the company cautions that its larger 830,000-ounce Exploration Target remains conceptual.
