Yancoal’s September quarter brought stronger realised coal prices and a A$340 million rise in cash before its Kestrel acquisition and interim dividend. The US$1.85 billion deal now starts contributing earnings, although the mine’s first quarter will include a planned longwall relocation and additional debt funding.

First Graphene reported unaudited first-quarter income of about A$201,000, up 21% year on year, as PureGRAPH moved into new cement, mining, composites and footwear applications.
