Latest Pre Feasibility Study News

Cavalier Resources has lifted the Crawford Gold Project’s Stage 1 NPV by about 50% to A$77.2 million, while drilling supports extensions beyond the planned starter pit. But the annual report also flags a material uncertainty over going concern, with proposed project financing still subject to definitive documentation.

Advanced Engineered Materials is forecasting a sharp lift in second-half sales as its Quebec high-purity alumina operation moves from qualification work towards commercial production. The larger prize is a possible 6,000-tonne-per-year expansion, but that plan still depends on feasibility, financing and final investment approval.

Australian Mines has appointed a specialist consultant team to complete the pre-feasibility study for its Flemington Scandium Project, targeting delivery in the first quarter of 2027. The study will retain a 60-tonne-per-year scandium oxide reference case while testing production scenarios of up to 180 tonnes per year.

Global Gold Mining has reported recoveries of up to 91.4% from metallurgical tests at its Sturec gold deposit in Slovakia, providing a useful processing input for the project’s pre-feasibility study. The result is encouraging, but the weaker 79.5% recovery from transitional material and the laboratory-scale nature of the work remain important qualifications.

PC Gold’s Spring Hill project emerged from FY2026 with a sharply larger resource, fresh institutional funding and a clearer path towards feasibility studies. The gold explorer remains pre-production and loss-making, but its post-year-end A$75 million raise gives it substantial room to expand drilling and development work.

Alma Metals has intersected 383.8 metres at 0.25% copper from just 10.2 metres at its Briggs project, including a higher-grade 76.7-metre zone at 0.34%. The result supports the company’s effort to upgrade parts of the resource ahead of a pre-feasibility study, although the intersection remains a downhole measurement and ended in mineralisation.

Magnum Mining has completed a 10,000-metre auger programme at its Piracanjuba North ionic adsorption clay rare earths project in Brazil, shifting its focus to a 32.5km² plateau zone. The company is targeting a maiden JORC 2012 Mineral Resource Estimate in November, but the project remains at an early exploration stage with no declared resource or reserve.

McLaren Minerals has moved its flagship McLaren Titanium Project into bankable feasibility, backed by a 529 million tonne resource and a 663-hole drilling campaign. But the pre-revenue explorer remains reliant on further funding, with the Barossa acquisition still conditional and 118.4 million options issued after year-end.

Antipa Minerals has selected a preferred processing and mine development configuration for its Minyari Dome project, combining gold doré with a separate copper concentrate. The decision advances the study, but pushes the pre-feasibility study release into November 2026 while costs and project economics are finalised.

Advanced Engineered Materials is targeting a sharp increase in high-purity alumina sales while laying the groundwork for a possible doubling of Cap-Chat capacity to 6,000 tonnes per annum. The opportunity is substantial, but much of the customer pipeline remains uncontracted and the expansion still depends on feasibility work, financing and a final investment decision.

Ramelius Resources has lifted its FY30 production outlook to as much as 610,000 ounces while committing up to A$570 million of growth capital in FY27. The plan puts a larger Mt Magnet processing hub at the centre of the company’s expansion, but also raises the execution and cost stakes.

Pursuit Minerals has started its first diamond hole at the Demasía tenement, testing whether lithium-bearing brines extend beyond the existing 1.264 million tonne LCE resource at Rio Grande Sur. Early packer tests recovered brine at shallow depths, but lithium assays are still pending.
