The project’s 932Mt resource contains about 2Mt of copper, but the company still faces the usual funding, technical and development hurdles of a large undeveloped mine.

Pilbara Gold has reported strong initial drill results from the Terra Prospect at Roe Hills, including 46 metres at 3.17g/t gold and a narrower high-grade hit of 4 metres at 9.91g/t. The results extend evidence of a mineralised corridor at least 1.5km long, although substantial drilling and follow-up work remain.

Latitude 66’s KSB project has returned a striking preliminary economic case, with a post-tax NPV8 of US$485 million and an 85% IRR at a US$3,500 per ounce gold price. The opportunity remains unbuilt, unfunded and subject to further study, permitting and a production target containing 10% Inferred Resources.
