Tolu Minerals has increased the Tolukuma gold resource by 81% to 909,000 ounces after four months of full-scale drilling, pushing its reported Papua New Guinea gold inventory above one million ounces. The proposed early 2027 restart now has a larger resource base, but remains dependent on infrastructure, technical work and conversion of resources into mineable reserves.

Turaco Gold has confirmed depth and strike extensions at the Begnopan deposit in Côte d’Ivoire, including several high-grade gold intersections from the first 69 holes of a 113-hole program. The results could support a resource classification upgrade and eventual inclusion of Begnopan in Afema’s ore reserve, but no revised resource or reserve has yet been published.

Cannindah Resources is accelerating drilling at its Cannindah Breccia deposit after identifying mineralisation beyond the existing resource and along a broader 2km structural corridor. An updated resource estimate, incorporating 45 additional drill holes and new metallurgical inputs, is targeted by the end of September.
