Latest Exploration Targeting News

Tivan has won approval to add 50 square kilometres to its Baucau copper-gold project in Timor-Leste, securing ground over a large magnetic anomaly. The expansion comes as the company acknowledges an executive chairman’s personal X post previewed an assay announcement before ASX release and was not authorised under its disclosure policy.

Aureka Resources has reported high-grade gold mineralisation beyond the current inferred resource at its Irvine project in Victoria, including a 4.74g/t intercept at depth and the first significant results from a 2km gap between established lodes. The results expand the exploration story, but remain early-stage drilling data with further assays pending.

Lunnon Metals has reported strong gold intersections from 36 holes at its Foster-Baker project, including a standout 1 metre at 80.80 g/t gold at Hustler and broader mineralisation at Koombana. The results will feed updated resource models before a scoping study considers whether the two deposits could support future mining alongside a Lady Herial cut-back.

Benz Mining’s quarterly loss widened sharply as exploration spending surged at its Western Australian projects, but a subsequent C$148.02 million placement has given the company substantial funding to accelerate Glenburgh drilling. The project’s 10.1-12.0 million ounce Exploration Target remains conceptual rather than a Mineral Resource.

Kalgoorlie Gold Mining has secured A$2.3 million through a placement and launched a fully underwritten A$1.1 million entitlement offer to fund exploration at its Pinjin Gold Project. The capital will target new drilling at the Lighthorse discovery, where earlier assays included high-grade gold within broader mineralised intervals.

AngloGold Ashanti has completed a 2,659-sample soil geochemistry program at EcoGraf’s Golden Eagle project in Tanzania, with results now pending ahead of a planned drilling phase. The work forms part of a US$9 million farm-in while EcoGraf prepares separate exploration across a broader portfolio of gold and critical-minerals targets.

Charger Metals has mobilised an RC rig for a 10,000m programme aimed at expanding and upgrading confidence in its 10.6Mt Medcalf lithium resource. The work is funded by the $3.752 million cash sale of the Bynoe Lithium Project and comes as Charger commits to a scoping study at Lake Johnston.

Raptor Metals has identified two conductive systems across its Chester copper project, including the strongest off-hole response recorded near a high-grade drill intersection. The results give the company specific targets for follow-up drilling, but the conductors remain exploration targets rather than a resource estimate.

Infinity Mining has extended the gold anomaly at its Tanjil Dome project in Victoria to about 1km and identified a separate 1.5km anomalous trend at Good Hope. Surface samples returned up to 3.70 g/t gold at Tanjil Dome and 12.91 g/t from a Good Hope mullock sample, with trenching and drilling now planned.

Rumble Resources is preparing three drilling campaigns across Western Australia while an updated Western Queen study approaches its expected late-September release. The programs target resource growth at Wardawarra and Munarra Gully, alongside previously identified gold systems at Thunderstorm.

Encounter Resources has identified a shallow, high-grade niobium zone at Joyce, 6 kilometres east of its Green deposit, with drilling ending in mineralisation. Assays from surrounding holes are due in October and will determine whether the zone has meaningful lateral continuity.

Enova Mining reduced its half-year loss to $790,000, but an explicit going-concern warning puts future funding at the centre of its rare earth exploration story. The company ended June with $723,000 in cash while advancing several high-grade exploration targets across Brazil and Australia.
